Retired Entrepreneurs Should be Mentors and Coaches

Every so often someone asks me to be their business mentor and usually it is a young man or woman in their twenties who is successful and driven with a passion for whatever it is that they do. I believe that passion and commitment are two of the most excellent human traits one can have and it is great to see young Americans working hard to produce all those things that humans desire. These great entrepreneurs are part of what makes our nation so awesome.

Recently a young man, 27 emailed from Cincinnati, OH to ask if I was willing to be a mentor to him. He had listened to the some motivational tapes by some very famous speakers who advise to seek out mentors and learn from them. Good advice and I would expect nothing else from such motivational speakers. You see I am glad to help because, I have been assisting young entrepreneurs all my life and I think that is why I so much enjoyed franchising. I was in the franchising business before retirement.

So, I let our young up and coming superstar know that I would be willing to assist and stated; “You may send me any questions you wish, but also realize that I will probably turn them into articles and syndicate them all over the Planet, because the way I see it, if you have a question. Then there are 500,000 others out there with the same question only afraid to ask you see? Therefore as a sort of a "Guru of the Human Experience" I make all my responses into articles and post them on an online article submission website. If you are a coach or a mentor maybe you might consider this in 2006 and give a little back?
